some context:
i’m 24, born in Belgrade, Serbia
moved to the UK on the HMC scholarship when i was 17 - 1.6% acceptance rate
studied international relations - wanted to be international criminal lawyer. realised international law is worthless - decided i wanted to do startups
joined a pre-PMF B2B saas startup as Founder’s right hand + sales lead. got promoted quickly (2 months), learned a lot
left to join Fluidstack as the 7th commercial hire (growth)
2 months in (again) was put in charge of Growth - learned a lot, worked hard, did cool stuff
left to join Entrepreneurs’ First cohort, met a technical co-founder, started Lumera AI
some other facts:
worked at the family waste recycling business from the age of 10. learned a lot: how to drive a bulldozer, cement roads, work in the mines, and work very hard
was a “professional” actress from the age of 4. did tv ads, a few shorts, but mainly focused on the theatre. it was going well, i was earning OK money. there’s still an imdb page about me
competed regionally in gymnastics from the age of 4
taught horse riding part-time, competed in show jumping
joined a serbian youth delegation to the UN NYC HQ when i was 16. fell in love with 2017 new york, it’s changed a lot since
stalked and tracked down Mary Kaldor CBE who wrote most relevant books on the Kosovo conflict for my uni dissertation. we did an exclusive interview. it was the first time i closed a deal from cold outbound
in 2024, started a bakery in Serbia with my mom
in the same year, started a community for future founders in London - “launchpad”
in the same year, joined a Serbian accelerator to build Klarna for the Balkans - “eight”
in 2024/2025, i was reporting for a serbian tv channel on-the-ground in the uk
